Kanga DT625

Kanga DT625

Listed by Rogaland · Wondunna, QLD

The Kanga DT625 is a compact mini loader ideal for tight access jobs where larger machines simply won't fit. This versatile unit excels at landscaping work, residential construction, fence line preparation, and general earthmoving tasks in confined spaces. Its small footprint makes it perfect for backyard renovations, pathway construction, and working through standard doorways or narrow side gates.

This machine is in good condition and ready for hire. The DT625's tracked design provides excellent stability on uneven ground whilst minimising lawn damage compared to wheeled alternatives. It's well-suited for contractors, landscapers, and homeowners tackling projects that require efficient material handling and earthmoving capability without the need for a full-sized skid steer.

Perfect for DIY enthusiasts and trade professionals alike who need reliable performance in restricted working environments.

Hire Instructions

Pre-start checks: Before operating, check hydraulic oil and engine oil levels, inspect tracks for damage or excessive wear, and ensure all safety guards are secure. Familiarise yourself with the controls—forward/reverse levers, boom lift/lower, and auxiliary attachment controls—in an open area before starting work.

Operating safely: Always wear appropriate PPE including hard hat, steel-cap boots, and hi-vis clothing. Keep bystanders at least 5 metres away when operating. Never exceed the rated operating capacity, and avoid working on slopes greater than 15 degrees to prevent tip-overs.

Surface protection: Use track mats or plywood sheets when crossing finished surfaces like driveways, pavers, or established lawns to prevent damage. Take wide turns and avoid excessive spinning of tracks in one spot.

Refuelling and daily maintenance: Top up diesel fuel as needed and clean out debris from the engine bay and tracks at the end of each day. Never refuel with the engine running or while smoking.

End of hire return: Clean off excess mud and debris from tracks, undercarriage, and bucket. Return the machine with the same fuel level as provided (or as agreed). Report any damage or mechanical issues immediately to the owner.

What's it good for?

Backyard landscaping projects: Excavating for retainer walls, spreading soil and mulch, levelling garden beds, removing tree stumps, and digging trenches for irrigation or drainage systems in tight residential spaces.

Pathway and patio installation: Removing existing materials, excavating to required depths, spreading base materials, and levelling compacted road base for pathways, patios, and small driveways where access is limited.

Fence line preparation: Clearing vegetation, levelling ground along fence lines, digging post holes (with auger attachment), and removing old fence materials through narrow side passages.

Pool excavation assistance: Removing spoil from pool dig sites, spreading and levelling fill, and general material handling in confined backyards where full-sized equipment cannot access.

Residential demolition and renovation: Breaking up and removing old concrete paths, shifting building materials, clearing renovation debris, and working inside buildings through standard doorways (900mm clearance).

Turf preparation and soil conditioning: Stripping old turf, spreading topsoil evenly, grading for proper drainage, and preparing ground for new lawn installation on residential and small commercial sites.
